Meet Winnie (formerly known as Daytona). She is loving, sweet, petite little girl who is a mix breed of german shepherd and lab. My husband and I adopted her from Wags rescue back in January of this year. After long talks we decided that we wanted to add another furry friend to our family. We currently had our ️Golden retriever ( Tigger ) and we felt like he needed a playmate. So we talked to many breeders and after long discussion we decided to adopt rather than to buy from a breeder. We looked online and came across Wags rescue in PA. We weren't sure how the adoption process would be and how hard or time consuming the process was (especially since we are from a different state) and let me just say Wags was incredibly helpful, kind and fast with the whole process. From the time that we emailed and submitted our application for adoption to going to the adoption event, it was all done in a matter of days. Anyone that is thinking about adopting we highly recommend Wags! So let me tell you a little more about Winnie. She is super playful and has gotten along great with Tigger! They have became best friends and it's the best thing we could have ever done by adopting her. She was the missing piece to our family and everyday I am thankful we adopted her. She bring so much laughter and joy into our lives. I don't think we could ever go back to buying a dog compared to adopting. Winnie has taught us that there are so many wonderful dogs who need a loving home and are just waiting for their forever family! We are more than thankful for all the wonderful volunteers with Wags and thank you all for saving our little Winnie from a shelter in NC!
